Plight of the Pater-gnomes.

Joe Paterno is an institution in college football - but Penn State's program has been overwhelmingly mediocre during the last decade (save the 2005 season). As most of us know by now, many Nittany Lion fans are clamoring for a regime change. However, Penn State's failure to either a) gracefully remove Paterno from his post b) announce a retirement timeline or c) make a succession plan is going to kill the PSU program. What elite recruit would sign with PSU without knowing what his future will hold? Without a solid recruiting class on a regular basis, any program will flounder. The longer Paterno stays on top with no indication of stepping down, the worse the PSU program will be. This year may mark the beginning of a serious decline in PSU football.

The Nit' Hit The Fan.

PA Represent! WHATWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

Last year, Michigan looked pretty dumb in the offseason because some of the guys couldn't keep their heads on straight. This year, it appears to be PSU's turn to have a knucklehead offseason, and they might even put up a few points points in the EDSBS Fulmer Cup!

How many days till football?

Yet Another Reason Why Old People Shouldn't Drive.

BOOM! THAT just happened!

As you've all heard by now, Joe Pa has been involved in some kind of crazy old man traffic incident. The story varies by account. Some retellings of the incident have Paterno acting like a crazed lunatic, while others have Paterno protecting himself from overzealous reporters.

Who is to believe here? I think Joe Pa is a respectable guy and he probably wouldn't do something like this. Then again, everybody has their breaking point, and Paterno has had a very rough week with the media.

What have we learned from this fiasco? When you see an old man with coke bottle glasses and a crazy grin coming down the road, pull over and just let him by!

Back On Track!

Review that call! Meeeeeeeeeeeeeheheheheheheheheheheheeeeeee!

It was fantastic to be back in Ann Arbor this weekend! It was even better to see a Michigan victory over the Lions. Paterno was insistent that the refs review every single call which could possibly be disputed, but that didn't stop Michigan from stuffing the Lions on every single key drive and holding them to three field goals.

There numbers shall account for nothing! They shall never get past us!

Oh. My. God. You were so awesome in this game I can't even begin to describe it. You just ran on and on, and bit by bit they realized they couldn't stop you. "Mike Hart: the ballcarrier!" was music to my ears all afternoon. The moment when you inched the ball over the goal line on to get the final touchdown - so inspirational! But you know what my favorite part was? After you got injured in the fourth quarter, you started to walk out, and then you turned around and limped back into the field because you didn't want anyone else carrying the ball.

We didn't want anyone else, either.
